Owner Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Bookabuoy. This platform enables you to list your available mooring facilities for rent, while boaties can easily find, book, and pay for moorings online.

As owners Bookabuoy provides you with:

  • Easy management - A streamlined platform for managing listings, availability, and bookings.
  • Increased visibility - Reach a wider audience of boaties across New Zealand.
  • Secure transactions - Bookings and payments are handled safely and efficiently through the platform.
  • No long term contracts - Flexible, fee-free listing options, with exclusive early sign-up benefits available.

Warranty Requirements

  • The information you provide on your mooring or berth such as size, location, and tackle is accurate.
  • The mooring or berth is fully compliant with any required inspection, construction, and certification requirements, for the region.

Calendar Availability Options

You are in control of the availability of your mooring and can choose to set your mooring to; available, or by request.

Available

The dates on your mooring calendar will be green, (unless booked, in which case they will be gray). Boaties will select dates required, a check will be made on mooring size and then the payment will be processed. The boaties will receive immediate confirmation of their booking. You will also receive confirmation of the booking. No action is required by you. A confirmed booking may not be canceled by an owner.

By Request

The dates on your mooring calendar will be blue, (unless booked, in which case they will be gray). You will receive a copy of the requested booking and you have up to 48 hours to confirm and accept the booking. If you do not confirm the booking within this timeframe the booking will be cancelled. If you confirm the booking the boatie is advised and they may choose to proceed or not to proceed with the booking.

Payment

  • Boaties may book a mooring at any time, within three days of the booking commencement a boatie may not cancel the booking and it is deemed unconditional.
  • Once a booking is unconditional you will be paid the full amount of the rental, less the Bookabuoy service charge.
  • Payment is made on the 20th of the month following the booking.

Pricing

  • You will set the hire rate for your mooring, you can update this rate at any time through your account.
  • For bookings of 28 days or more a 20% discount will apply.
  • The Bookabuoy service charge is 15% and may be subject to change.
  • NOTE; Bookabuoy is not GST registered and pricing does not include GST.

Sample Calculations

  • Short hire - If your rate is $30 a night the boaties will pay the advertised rate of $34.50. You will receive your payment of $30 per night as per the payment schedule.
  • Long hire - For bookings of 28 days or more a 20% discount will apply. If your rate is $30 a night, for 28 nights the boaties will pay $772.80 (your rate less 20% discount plus 15% service charge). You will receive your payment of $672 as per the payment schedule.
